The CISPR/D Automotive Electromagnetic Compatibility International Standard Conference was held in Busan, Korea from October 18 to October 26, 2018, of which the 22nd was the CISPR/D /WG1 working group meeting, and the 23rd was the CISPR/D /WG2 working group meeting. 24th to 26th is the ISO/TC22/SC32/WG3 working group meeting related to Branch D.

The criteria currently being voted on by the Working Group include:

WG3 internal voting standards ISO/SR 11452-5, ISO/SR 11452

ISO/SR 11452-10, ISO/SR 21609;

ISO/SR 11451-4 (2013), Deadline for public voting 2018-06-04;

ISO/SR 10605 (2008), Deadline for public voting 2018-06-04;

ISO/CD 11452-4, Deadline for public voting 2018-07-03.

Criteria currently under study include:

ISO/WD 11452-9; ISO/WD 7637-2; ISO/DTS 7637- 4

ISO/WD 11451-4.

Main content of the meeting

01 ISO/SR 11452-10

At the last meeting in Milpitas, USA, it was decided to initiate the revision of ISO 11452-10, the reason why the German delegation proposed the revision of the document was to include an alternative method of applying the test signal (power amplifier/power supply in direct contact with the DUT). However, TC22/SC32/WG2 is preparing "ISO 21780 ISO/DIS 21498- Electric Road vehicles - Electrical Testing of Voltage Class B Components", which also includes other voltage ripple tests. The German experts found that direct pulse applications via power amplifiers/power supplies in this standard would be better. Therefore, the German proposal is to keep ISO 11452-10 as it is (after the initial SR vote) to avoid having the same subject matter in two different standards. The experts agreed that if the SC32/WG2 convenor confirms that WG2 has considered these topics, there is no longer a need to revise ISO 11452-10, and the WG3 convenor informed the SC32 Secretary of this change.

02 ISO/SR 11452-4

WG3 experts reviewed the voting status of ISO/SR 11451-4. Only Japan is in favour of revising the current version to comply with the ISO 11452-4 test method and the frequency range specified in the Japanese document. After discussion at the meeting, the WG3 experts agreed to initiate the revision, with Mr. Mizutani volunteering as Pilot leader and preparing the first version of the Working Group Draft (WD) for the next WG3 meeting. All experts are requested to provide any tips to Mr. Mizutani by the end of January 2019. The WG3 Secretary will ask the SC32 Secretary to confirm the revision of ISO 11451-4 within a period of 36 months.

03ISO/SR 10605

WG3 experts reviewed the voting for ISO/SR 10605. After discussion at the meeting, the WG3 experts agreed to initiate the revision, with Mr. Blanc volunteering to lead the first draft of the Working Group (WD) for the next WG3 meeting. All experts are requested to provide any tips to Mr. Mizutani by the end of January 2019. The WG3 secretary will ask the SC32 secretary to confirm the revision of ISO 10605 within a period of 36 months.

04ISO/CD 11452-4

WG3 experts reviewed the voting status of ISO/CD 11452-4 and the CD file has been approved.

The collated CD comments were reviewed and updated by the participating experts and the Secretary during the meeting. WG3 experts subsequently reviewed and updated the ISO/CD 11452-4 standard in accordance with the decisions agreed upon at the meeting. The French experts will provide the Secretary with updated test bench height figures 1 and 3 and load simulator location figures 4 to 12 by the end of November. The WG3 secretary will send the revised document to the SC32 secretary by the end of January 2019 with a recommendation to initiate voting on the standard DIS.

05 ISO/WD 11452-9

Mori explained more about the two new antennas and the new modulations (AWG).

WG3 experts have reviewed ISO/WD 11452-9 and the French recommendations.

The WG3 secretary updated ISO/WD 11452-9 after the meeting agreed on the changes.

The United States should provide H-field models of wideband dipole antennas to the WG3 secretary by the end of November 2018.

The WG3 secretary will ask the SC32 secretary to initiate CD voting by December 2018.

06 ISO/WD 7637-2

WG3 experts reviewed ISO/WD 7637-2, the French opinion and the document voting on ISO/NP 3637-2.

WG3 experts review the new pulse in Japanese document N 2752. Decided not to make the proposal at this time. In addition, it was decided to move the proposal on 48V pulses to an information appendix.

The WG3 secretary updated ISO/WD 7637-2 after the meeting agreed on the changes.

The WG3 secretary will have a revised document ready for the SC32 secretary by the end of January 2019, with a recommendation for a CD vote.

07 ISO/DTS 7637-4

WG3 experts reviewed the updated ISO/DTS 7637-4 and French comments.

The WG3 secretary updated ISO/DTS 7637-4 and added recommendations for improvement after the meeting agreed changes.

The WG3 secretary will have the revised document ready for the SC32 secretary by the end of January 2019, with the recommendation to initiate voting on the TS release.

In addition, the proposed roadmap for ISO/TC22/SC32/WG3 related to the standard, the Japanese experts' roadmap for ADAS immunity to ISO 11451, and the German experts' recommendations for the vehicle reverberation chamber were discussed.
