The "Notice on Strengthening the Management of Radio Transmission Equipment" issued by the Ministry of Information Industry stipulates that without the type approval of the national radio regulatory authority and without the type approval code, radio transmission equipment shall not be produced, sold, used and advertised in the territory of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), and shall not go through import approval procedures.

According to Article 43 of Chapter 9 of the Regulations on Radio Administration of the People's Republic of China, if a person develops, produces or imports radio transmission equipment in violation of the provisions of these Regulations, the State radio regulatory authority or the local radio regulatory authority may, according to the specific circumstances, give a warning, seal up or confiscate the equipment, or confiscate the illegal income; If the circumstances are serious, a fine of not less than 1,000 yuan but not more than 5,000 yuan may also be imposed; If the circumstances are serious, criminal responsibility may be investigated.
